Basket Diving

My amazing and beautiful handsome son is growing so fast....
 He gets in to EVERYTHING!
Quite literally!
But, it is one of the many reasons I love this boy. He keeps me on my toes!

Jello-icious

 Rowynn's reaction to Jell-O

 There's a slight smile!
 More mama, MORE!!
I don't think he's too sure about that texture! He took many bites but it was the same face after each bite.

I love this child!

WWW- week 11

Well, this has been fun while it lasted but I will NOT be telling you my weight anymore.

You see, over the next 9 months (actually 10, I'm not sure why they lie) I will be GAINING weight not losing.

Yes, your conclusion to the above sentance is correct.

I AM PREGNANT!!!!

We weren't going to start trying for another 3 months but I guess God was ready for us to venture down this road a few months earlier than expected!

Please just keep this pregnancy and the health of the baby in your prayers. And if you feel compelled, also pray that the Lord bless us with another baby girl  :-)

I love you all for the support that you have given over the last 3 months. I am going to try to keep my weight gain to a MINIMUM with this one. Especially since I didn't make it back down to my pre-pregnancy weight before getting pregnant. Oh well, healthy eating and lots of exercise should do the trick!

Carmichael's Pumpkin Patch

This year's trip to Carmichael's was the BEST! We finally got to take one of our babies to the pumpkin patch. Though Rowynn had no clue what it was, it was pretty special for Rusty and I.
Of course no parent can go to the pumpkin patch without taking a gazillion pictures and I am definitely not the exception!! Be prepared for MANY pictures!!

He sure does love his daddy!
Maybe when I learn photoshop, I can edit out the rash on Rowynn's face! Poor guy.
I loved the vibrant colors of these pumpkins. The array of different pumpkins, gourds and squash were really neat. If I would have been up to standing in line I may have brought a few home.

 Relaxing in the pumpkins!
 Grandpa and Grandma Patty
 So much fun!

 Our happy little family
I love this face! That is Rowynn's fit face and it is the cutest thing on earth!
Rowynn is an animal lover just like his mama...
he likes to giggle at them and try to touch them.
He was super happy to get to look at these cute little goats....
and he finally got his fingers on it!

I'm excited for next years trip! There is not telling what will be in store for us. Rowynn will get to ride the pony's and go through the mazes and feed the animals! He brings so much joy to our lives and we count our blessings every day.

Cute and Spooky

Rowynn got a chance to dress up as the CUTEST monkey when we headed out to Discoveryland's Camp Cute and Spooky Halloween event. Thanks to our AWESOME friends, Shaun and Katie, who invited us.

At Camp Cute and Spooky, they set up pony rides, a jump house, a maze, a trick-or-treat path, face painting, music, food, a petting zoo and a little show. It is really neat to see all the adorable kids dressed up in their Halloween costumes. I can't wait to do it again next year! I loved it.

Sadly, we had yet to buy a Halloween costume for Rowynn. Yes, I am neglecting my poor second child. Seeing that I bought Abigayl's in early September for her Halloween! Thankfully my friend Kimberlee had lent me 3 huge tubs full of clothes. One of the articles within those tubs was this super cute monkey costume.

It barely fit but by golly we got him in it!! I let him crawl around the house while daddy got ready and then figured out what a sweaty mess the poor guy was when we loaded him up in the car.... in the costume.... monkey hood and all! (No worries, he didn't have to suffer! I pulled the hood off so his head could get some air.)
It was probably a relief for the little guy when we stepped out of the car and into the cooler night air!

No, I'm not a bad mom. I put socks on him about 5 minutes after this picture was taken.
I know he doesn't look all that thrilled in the above pictures but he had just woken up from his short nap in the car. For running on not much sleep, I was pretty proud of my little roly-poly.
Rowynn and I had to get a picture with our best buddies. I have a feeling these two boys are going to be more like family the whole time Rowynn is growing up. I look forward to every minute!

Baby Proof

Let the baby proofing begin!! After a few bumps and bruises, we felt it was high time to make this house work of all of us!
Here is a prime example of why we needed baby proofing....
ta da, Rowynn caught red handed!
Bwaahahaha.... no more cabinet raids for you, little man!!
Then he showed me that I was the fool because he found a new toy to play with and this toy was even MORE dangerous than a measly cabinet.
Hmmm.. I wonder if this poky thing hurts?!
I'm so cute. You know you can't get on to me! Who has the last laugh now, sucka!!
Ya, I'm talking to you! You heard me, sucka!

Excuse me while I go show my son who is boss in this house.

(((((smooch))))))

I win!

Playing....

A friend of mine loaned me her Canon 40d camera with an EF28-135 lens and I had a blast playing with it today!
The reason for such a large change is that I have made the decision (with Rusty's opinion) to pursue photography rather than looking into becoming an esthatician.
In the past week I have signed up for a business of photography class and an intro into digital photography. Soon, I will be able to take professional shots and know how to professionally edit the shots!
Wish me luck in this new adventure!! I really want to be able to do something fun and rewarding and do it without having to leave Rowynn full time with anyone.
I look forward to sharing the my adventure with you!

Pros and Cons

I am absolutely loving watching Rowynn be mobile and independent. I no longer have to hang out and "entertain" him constantly since he now crawls to the toy he desires and can drool on everything! Those tiny little hands get EVERYTHING! Nothing is safe in our house anymore.

This leads me to the hard part of having a mobile baby. Rowynn's latest trick is getting into cabinets and drawers. Since learning this one, there have been fingers shut in the drawer, things falling out of cabinets, lids pulled out of drawers and cabinets.

I thought toys all over the floors was frustrating! Now my kitchen has become the new playroom and his toys are sometimes obsolete.

Today was a bad bonk. He must have pulled up on the elliptical machine because all I heard was a cry and there was a little bruise line on his forehead. Poor little guy.  Thankfully I didn't freak out like I did last Friday. I'm not sure our pocketbook could handle that!

The bumps and bruises part of childhood have now begun. I guess it time to have the acetaminophen and hugs on hand for what is to come!

WWW- week 10

I cannot believe that it has been 10 weeks already. I'm happy with my results but wish they were better. Though, I have no one else to blame but myself. There were days of "splurging" and when I say days, I mean the WHOLE day, not just part of it!

Drum roll please........

My current weight is 159.2 lbs (when I posted my weight Saturday it was 159.6 lbs) and that puts me at a loss of 10.8 lbs over the last 10 weeks.

I have to admit, I haven't entered in my food points in the last 2-3 weeks but I do use Skinny Taste to find healthy recipes and I have tried to tweak the ones I already love to make them healthier.

Like I said last week, I planned on eating oatmeal every day for breakfast and a salad for lunch and for the most part I have stuck with that plan.

Thanks for checking in on my goals! I love you all for the support you give me each week.

Rowynn

Living in Oklahoma, our "fall" is more like spring. I guess I won't complain but I am just ready for sweaters and to ditch my tank tops.

Yesterday we took advantage of our beautiful weather and went and "played" in the front yard. Seeing that my son does not like grass, it meant a lot of trying to stay on the sheet that I laid down.
Do you see his poor rash? Don't lie to me. I know you can see it. What about those two teeth?! I love it. He's like a bunny rabbit. Well, a bunny rabbit with teeth on the bottom. (he has two teeth on the top poking through the skin!)
This is Rowynn's favorite pass time, crawl over mommy! I think he likes to see what all he can get over. He crawls over my legs, back, tummy and even my side! He is crazy. I love every ounce of this child!

Super Sunday II

We thought we would be spending the weekend going to the corn maze and pumpkin patch but after the HORRIFIC day we had on Friday (plus the yucky looking red spots) we decided that having Rowynn out in public would just make people wonder if we were bad parents!

Instead of going out and about, we let Rowynn have a very normal, relaxing day at the house Saturday. He was so relaxed in fact that he pulled up on his "piano" FIVE TIMES while daddy was watching a football game and mommy was napping.

So, once again Rowynn stood up and I missed it.

Thankfully Rusty had it on video so I was able to see when I got up. The next morning though, this happened...
Yup... that is my little Rowynn, STANDING! He now likes to use his toys, cabinets and us as a means to get those legs straightened out. LOVE IT!
We decided church was out of the question since he has a viral rash that can be spread to other babies but we still headed out for Rusty's flag football game. I enjoy going so that Rowynn can have some time with his grandpa and grandma Patty. Plus, it is pretty neat to get to watch Rusty play a little football, seeing we didn't date in high school. Actually, we weren't even in the same state.

Grandpa asked if he could give him a little bit of a dum-dum and I decided it couldn't be any worse than the ice cream, yogurt, pizza, chili and who knows what else!
I think grandpa was a little surprised since I had a strict "no sugar" rule with Abigayl.

The best part about Sunday was the date to a movie with Rusty. I hadn't been to a movie in AGES! I can't even tell you the last movie I went to. Wait, the last movie was Twilight Saga: Eclipse. That was a while ago!! Plus, it wasn't a date with my hubby.
