Portraits by Melina at MK Studio

Abigayl

Abigayl is 3 months and is weighing in at 15 lb. Not only has she discovered her hands but now she likes to blow spit bubbles!! Which means lots of drool! We went and got 3 month photos done last night so as soon as I have them I will post them.

Abigayl is sitting well when rested up against the couch... she didn't even fall over!
But, by the look on her face, I would say this wasn't her favorite activity!
We bought her a play center, so when she tested it out for the first time I think she was a little apprehensive! Now she loves being in it... there are so many things to play with.

We sometimes like to sit and watch her baby channel together... baby stuff is not that interesting to watch, more than anything it makes me want to sleep.

Another sweet surprise...

I was on the couch feeding my sweet girl when Rusty got home from work. As usual he came in and gave me a hello kissed and we talked about our day. Well, to my surprise, when I was throwing away a diaper there was a gift bag and a card on the kitchen counter. When I opened the gift bag I found the phone that I have been wanting!!! So excited... I took it out to play with it. Rusty then said, "don't throw the bag away". "Why", I replied......................

Well, not only did he get me the phone I was wanting but he also bought me a wallet I had been drooling over! Have I ever mentioned that I have the greatest husband?! Not only did he buy me theses sweet gifts, but he also informed me that he got a sitter for Friday night and made reservations at P.F. Changs!!! Yeah for a date!!!!

Sweet Girl!

This was a very interesting weekend! I had to fish poo out of Abigayl's bath (yuk! Be glad I didn't take a picture of that for all to see!!!) Also, Abigayl has discovered her hands so anytime they are in front of her she goes into a trance!!! Other than that... mostly uneventful.

We love story time.
Every now and again I can get her to giggle when I tickle her.
I just loved her big girl outfit...
Now she sits in my lap at dinner so I can eat hot food!
Her first time getting to "help" me cook. It's nice that she can be where I'm at.
She is a pincher!!! As you can see here.
These are the beautiful flowers that my sweet hubby brought home for me... I love it when he surprises me with flowers. But that's not all, he also picked me up a Dean Koontz book. I'll get to that one after I finish the Twilight Saga.
We got her to hold on to a toy... she was swinging it around and sometimes flung it pretty good!!
She loves playing with her daddy!

Complete Obsession

I started reading a series by Stephenie Meyer. I was only able to get to page 24 until things got a little crazy around our house. Well, Monday I picked it up to start reading again and literally could not put it down! I finished the book (500 some pages) by 7 Monday night. I was so enthralled in the story that I had to have the next one. I ran to the store and had it in possession and reading by 8 pm.
Well, I had the book finished Tuesday night! So, this morning on my way home from the gym I was going to run into Walmart and grab the next book. I DIDN'T HAVE MY WALLET :( Talk about absolute disappointment!!!! Hopefully tonight I can go grab it!

But, if you are looking for a good read that has romance and adventure... Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series is FANTASTIC!

Greatest husband!

On Sunday I was feeling a bit under the weather. So, my husband being the sweet man that he is, went out to grab a few groceries and some breakfast. When he got home he brought home my two favorite flowers... lily's and carnations. I am so lucky!!! Plus, he took care of Abigayl ALL day so I could sleep ALL day.

Bumbo

Last night we decided to break in the Bumbo seat. It is really nice to have a place where she can sit up! She tolerates her tummy time for only 5-10 minutes so this is a way to get her off her head. She seemed to like it... and that's all that matters!!!

I love it when she smiles
She's concentrating really hard!
She found daddy
She REALLY loves her daddy
One happy family
One VERY lucky wife!

Such a big girl!

Abigayl's grandma Linda gave this to us at the baby shower. Now, she is big enough to sit in it! It's crazy how fast time flies. She doesn't play with the toys by herself but I think she enjoys getting to sit up with out being held.

Time to play catch up!!

Well, it has been very busy the last week or two. I was blessed to have my entire family in Oklahoma with me for 5 whole days!!! Before coming to my house they went up to Kansas to visit Grandma and Grandpa. So, I drove up the two days that they weren't at my house!! It was a fantastic time and I hope it happens again soon... it was really sad going back to a quiet house.

As for Abigayl, she hit two pretty good milestones this past week. She rolled from front to back and she giggled. I'm excited that my mom got to witness both!

At Grandma and Grandpa's house
The day that mom flew in!Grandma and Aunt Rachelle giving Abigayl a bath
We went to Grand Lake for the day. We were able to play on the boat and jet skies. Darrin, Rachelle and I went for a pretty good run on the inflatable hot dog. It was loads of fun until I flew off and was forced to do the splits!! Good times any ways. It was great to be in the water even though it was like bath water. I guess that's what you get when it's over 100 for almost a week!!!
I baked Darrin a pumpkin pie for his birthday in Oklahoma.
After dark, Darrin, Rachelle, two of their kids, Rusty and I all went to the big park that is by my house. I was so happy because I have wanted an excuse for the past two years to go play on that thing!!

Rusty and I had to take advantage of the beautiful night we had. It had to be in the 70's with a nice breeze. So, we sat out on our front porch and just looked out at the night... I'm sure Abigayl enjoyed getting out of the house a little too!
My sweet girl!! We finally had to go in because the bugs were out in full force. It was nice to get to be outside with out feeling like I was melting though.
