This and That

You never know when your food might decide to fly up and get you. It's best to always be prepared!

Such a handsome little man

Brennyn and Grandpa

Grandpa and Grandma Patty

Look, grandpa is a jungle gym!

Perfect place to hold pretzels, between the toes.

Rowynn's very own cookie creation. I'm pretty sure this was his first time, definitely not the last!

Mmmm, so good.

Walker, Walker, Walker

Guess who is walking more and more each day?! I know, that was an easy one since three out of four of the people residing in our home can already walk.

He's so cute when he does it. See for yourself......

Brennyn's First Hair Cut

It was finally time, after 14 months of being on this earth, to get a hair cut. Poor kid was starting to have a mullet.
 Before....

After! Such a handsome, big boy.

Rowynn was in need as well, as you can see!

   Blurry after picture.
Both of my well groomed boys!

Side note, Brennyn is now walking half of the time!!! I swear it happened over night. Absolutely wonderful that he's finally trying more and more. Before I know it, I won't have to lug thirty pounds around, which is killer to my elbow. It may mean the end of having shots in my elbow!

Little Man

Rowynn is always interested in all the "fun" things that mommy and daddy do throughout the day, one of those, in particular, is that daddy shaves. Luckily I stumbled across a play shaving set the other day while perusing Wally World (in the travel size section, oddly). Perfect! Now Rowynn can play along with daddy.

I'm pretty sure he enjoyed it...

Play Time

Who doesn't like to be "flown" around the house?!

Time for some squirt bottle painting. It's a bit of a mess, but so much fun!

He takes after his mom, he's super cool ;-)
Here is what happens when you play peek-a-boo after eating a cereal bar.

Rowynn loves playing on daddy's phone. His favorite pass times seems to be watching videos (of him and his brother) and looking at pictures.

Have a great day!!

One Year Down, A Lifetime to Go

A few weeks ago I wrote about the plateau that I have hit with my weight loss. I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that my diet plays the biggest role in the lack of weight loss over the past couple of months. I also know, I don't want "perfection" bad enough to give up the foods I love. I'm sorry, I can't live on grilled, lean proteins and steamed/raw veggies, and still have happy taste buds. I do the best I can to prepare healthy, fresh meals. I keep our intake of processed food to a minimum.

I fail miserably when it comes to sugar. I limit the kids, but not myself.

Anyway, I found my tape measure!! Yay. So here are my results after ONE YEAR of working out and eating pretty healthy:

Start Weight:  162+ (I didn't weigh myself until 3 weeks after I started working out)
Today's Weight:  143 (And not budging!)

                    Start              Today
Bust             38.5               36
Chest           35                  32.5
Waist           34.5               30
"Pooch"       38.75             35
Hips            40.5               37.5
R Thigh       23.5               21
L Thigh       23.25             20. 75

The math on that: 19 lbs gone and 21.25 inches gone.

I still have work to do on my tummy area and I would still love to hit 130 lbs. But, I refuse to beat myself up about my body because it has produced three beautiful kids and I think I'm just dealing with my "battle wounds" from pregnancy.

Unless we have another kid, all the weight lost and inches lost, are not welcome back!!

Rowynn's First Day @ "School"

Rowynn started "parent's day out" last week and I think it has been wonderful for everyone! He gets to go play with other kids, new toys, listen to Bible stories and do crafts for three hours, two days a week.

That means I get, an hour and a half to myself, two days a week to clean house, blog, do laundry and clean some more! The other hour and a half is spent with my youngest just being the two of us. I hold him, read to him and play toys with him, without any distractions.

Here is my little man on his first day:
