New Career?!

I'm so excited! I made money off my cooking/baking! It was the greatest thing that could of happened at this moment.

Rusty and I have recently tossed around the idea of me getting a job at night so we could have a little extra income. A few days after that discussion, my friend asked if I could bake a cake for her to take in to work. I have to admit, I had a mix of emotions (scared, excited but mainly scared) because I had never made anything for money before.

So, I baked a 4 layer strawberry cake with strawberry icing and fresh strawberries. It was similar to this one:
After sending the cake out the door I started to want some cake! So, I baked one for Rusty and I but made it in a bundt pan so it wouldn't be as time consuming to finish.
I must admit, it was pretty darn good!
The great part, I think she is going to order more food from me!!! I think it would be great if I could make money off of my baking/cooking instead of getting a night job that would take me away from Rusty and Rowynn.
Praise God for wonderful blessings!

Finally!!!

Here are some pics from the last few days!
Sorry for the grainy picture. It is a picture of the video monitor screen. We couldn't believe that this was how he was sleeping!
We are working on the sitting up thing. He can sit unsupported for a few seconds but then he typically falls over. But, supported he does an alright job!
Huh?! Drool/Spit-up
I'm going to get you book! I want to eat you.
I know it's random but I was Rowynn's catcher just in case he decided to try to make a face plant into the floor while daddy took pictures!

National Cheesecake Day!!!

For those of you with a Cheesecake Factory or Merritt's Bakery, head on over tomorrow to grab a CHEAP piece of cheesecake. At Cheesecake Factory you can grab a slice for half off and at Merritt's Bakery it will cost you $1.00!!

Woo Hoo!

For those of you with a facebook account, "like" the cheesecake factory and today you can get a slice of cheesecake for $1.50!

Sorry...

I know that there have not been any pictures posted in a while and I apologize for that. Please be patient as Blogger and I work out our uploading differences.

I don't know if I all of a sudden came down with amnesia or if Blogger is being stupid. For some reason it will not allow me to upload multiple pictures at one time and I would prefer not to do 12 different posts for the pictures I am trying to upload!

Thanks for you patients and I promise I will have them up as SOON as possible.

:-) <3

New Design

As you can tell, I redesigned the blog and I wanted your input.

Do you find the colors hard to read? I just wanted to see what you all had to say so that if need be I could change it up.

Thanks so much!

Sooner Pride

Thanks to Trevor and his great photography skills, I now have some pretty great pictures of my boy in his OU hat.
If you click on them to enlarge them you get to see a much clearer picture.

Family!!!

My cousin's wife, Amber, and their son, Trevor, came to Oklahoma for their annual trip. While they were here, I was lucky enough to have them stop by our house so I could show off my baby boy!

I really enjoyed having Amber and Trevor stop by. Mike and Amber have always been more like a brother and sister to me and Trevor was more like a nephew then a second cousin. I just love them all so much. I can't wait for the day that they can move back to Oklahoma.

Hopefully our little family can make a trip out to California to see them soon. I'm trying to talk Rusty into making a trip out there next year! I guess we'll have to see if we can save up for a little trip out West!
Trevor and Rowynn... Rowynn is wearing Trevor's hat! So stinkin' cute.
Amber and Rowynn... I'm so glad she was here that day, Rowynn was having some tummy issues and she showed me some tricks to help sooth his belly. He was laughing when she was doing this and then when I went to take a picture he started to fuss. Little stinker!
Amber and Trevor took a lot more pictures on her camera. I will post the pictures I get from her as soon as I receive them.
It isn't very often that I get to see my family and it was an absolute joy to spend the day with them. I really wish that I could have seen them for longer. Only seeing them one day out of the year is such a bummer. Oh well, I guess one day is better than no day, right?

Little Piggy

Over the weekend Rowynn at his first WHOLE jar of baby food. First he drank an 8oz bottle and then he finished off a whole jar of carrots! He's my growing boy.

When our A/C went out over the weekend we stayed at Rusty's dad's house. While there, we fed Rowynn in his car seat and found that he eats much better in his carrier than he does in his Bumbo.

It has made feeding him solids SO much easier!
Last bite....ALL GONE!!!! Just a random pic from staying at other people's houses. He slept pretty good in his pack n' play, thankfully! He can't sleep without his seahorse though. That is his favorite toy.

Parties Galore

Last weekend was packed with parties! Saturday we had two birthday's to attend. One for two sweet boys (twins) and one for Rusty's 85 year old grandma.

First we headed over to the twins' birthday party at the skating rink. Let me tell you, Rusty and I are both pretty rusty (no pun intended) on a pair of skates! It took a couple of times around the floor to get the hang of it. It brought me straight back to junior high.
Rusty was reluctant to hold Rowynn while on his skates... but I talked him into a photo opp!
Rusty's dad Look at him go! Time for some hokey poky!

After our skating adventure we headed to his grandma's birthday party. His aunt Kay had some YUMMY food! I'll tell you, I could have eaten the whole bowl of fruit salad she made!
We had a family photo (all 25-30 people who were there) but I will have to get that from my mother-in-law. I didn't have one taken on our camera. Rusty's cousin and his sonI love seeing Rowynn with other kids! So stinkin' cute.

Nakey Baby

Ok, so not really! But look at him sit up and play with his toys. It is SO much fun to watch him grow and develop. Every day is a new milestone for all of us.

New Trick

The other night while Rowynn was laying in Rusty's lap, he decided to sit up! He doesn't do it while he is lying flat on the floor but he has sat up in Rusty's lap a couple of times.

I hope that means we are one step closer to him sitting up on his own! I can't wait to see such a big milestone.
Sitting up in daddy's lap
Rusty isn't even supporting his back... Rowynn is doing it all by himself.
Such a happy boyI think he may have been pretty proud of himself! And, I think daddy was pretty proud of his son. My friend Katie gave us this toy and it is Rowynn's first toy that he sits up to play with... look, he's doing it all by himself! Eventually this boy has got to sprout some teeth... he chews on EVERYTHING. Plus, he drools constantly.

Random Pics

I love watching Rusty with Rowynn. He is such a great daddy.

High Chair...

We first bought this high chair when Abigayl was still in my tummy. It sat, unused, for a long time. The first little one, and maybe the only little one, to ever use it was Chandler.

I'm sure I have talked about Chandler before but just in case I haven't, here is the run down. Chandler is a week older than Abigayl. Watching him is like getting to watch Abigayl grow up. At first it was hard but now it is an absolute joy.
Katie was over and suggested I put him in his high chair so he could sit with us while we all ate lunch. I think he liked it!
Though, Chandler may have gotten a little bit of jealousy going when he saw Rowynn in the chair. He said, "my high chair" and Katie diffused the situation with "look what you taught Rowynn to do!". After she said that he was pretty proud of himself!
Of course we had to show off the new trick to daddy! So his meal that night was served at his highchair. It's pretty great to finally get to see one of our children in that chair!

5 Months Old!!!

Our little man turned 5 months old on July 5th. It is amazing how fast the time goes. I look at him now and it is hard for me to even imagine him being the tiny, little newborn.

I'm so thankful that we have had such an incredible five months with him. He has been super healthy, happy and ACTIVE! He likes to keep us on our toes.
He smiles a whole lot (which I love) and if we're lucky, he may even give us a giggle. Rowynn does not give away his giggles very easily... he's like his dad in that aspect.

We haven't quite conquered the food thing yet but we keep trying. I know sooner or later he will open that mouth and gobble down the food!

He found his toes/feet and LOVES them. They are his favorite play toy. I haven't seen him get the toes in his mouth but I see him try every now and then.

It was a scary moment the day we found him asleep on his tummy but we have learned to get used to it. I'm so glad that he was on his sleep monitor when he decided to try out this new sleep position. Since then, we have taken the monitor off because of how often it was going off with "loose lead" alarms. I guess with all of his new acrobatics he is able to do the cords just can't stay connected very well.

It has been such a wonderful time getting to experience all sorts of new things with Rowynn. We are venturing into uncharted territory. We are beginning to hit a lot of milestones we didn't get the chance to see with Abigayl. Every moment we spend with him is such a dream come true. God truly blessed us with an amazing little boy and we are thankful for him.

Happy 4th!!

Keeping with family tradition, we spent the 4th of July at Grand Lake with Rusty's extended family.

Unfortunately, my mom was sick the whole weekend and wasn't able to join us. Thankfully, our neighbors put on a great fireworks show so she was able to see some great stuff from our porch.
I rode over with Katie the first day. Her husband and Rusty did some early morning fishing. I couldn't reach Rowynn to feed him so Parker did the job for me. When he got done he said, "wow that took a long time... my arm hurts!".
One of his four outfits!!
