What!?!

Let me first start out on such a happy note. I know it isn't Wednesday but I decided to hop on the scale this morning (just to make sure the number wasn't going in the WRONG direction) and to my surprise, I am below 160 lbs!!! Finally! I am at 159 lbs and am so excited! This gives me the extra push I need to buckle down and get to an even better weight.

Now let me recap the HORRIBLE day that I had yesterday. It started out with a trip to the pediatrician at 10:45 because of a peculiar rash that Rowynn had from head to toe. I thought the rash was an allergic reaction because I fed him some of my chili (he loved it by the way). Thankfully, all is well with that and she said it was a viral rash that would clear up on its own in a week or so.

In the mean time, poor kid is looking like a contagious, red spotted little man. Still cute. Just A LOT of red dots ALL over his poor body.

After getting home from the pediatrician's office it was time for some shut eye time. I was in the family room watching an episode of Lost when I heard a THUMP followed by a scream/cry (12:45).

I don't think I have ran that fast in a LONG time. When I opened Rowynn's door he was lying on the FLOOR!

What!?!

My baby has never stood up without assistance from me or daddy. I was a wreck. I was so scared that something would be wrong with him. I picked him up to sooth him while inside I was FREAKING out. I called his pediatrician and they were all out to lunch. So we loaded up and headed for the urgent care (1:00).

After seeing their PA (1:45), they wanted to send Rowynn to get a CT scan to make sure his cute, little head was okay. After talking it over with Rusty, we decided swinging by the pediatricians office first (4:00) would probably be better. Seeing that they deal with kids specifically and we were sure that they probably see things like this all the time!

Sure enough, 10 minutes with the pediatrician and our little spotted jumper was given a clean bill of health!

I must admit, it was a really hard day because it brought back a lot of emotion and flashbacks from the day Abigayl passed. I had a lot to work through yesterday and I am still trying to let things go today.

Sometimes I struggle with being a stay-at-home mom because of things like this. I know that with time it will get easier and I will learn not to freak out but in the mean time it is absolute torture to deal with "emergency" situations.

This and That

Poor Rowynn seems to be getting two of his upper teeth and he isn't pleased about it. I had ladies Bible study at my church yesterday and they had to get me out early because he was NOT happy. It seemed to be the trend for most of the day but there were a few smiles here and there...
 It's a half smile. Right?!
Side note:Look how grown up he looks in that track outfit! Yikes.
Cuddling with mommy. It is rare so I had to get a picture. Mind you, cuddling means leaning back on my chest while we watch TV or chew on a toy.
And let the fun begin! Rowynn pulled open the lid drawer this morning and decided to play with some of the lids. Oh boy. Like ALL of his toys aren't enough to keep up with. It takes me 10 minutes just to pick up his toys so the Roomba can vacuum.
It is fun to watch him "drink" from his sippy cup. He rarely gets it right but I guess that is part of learning. Typically he drinks it with the cup turned the wrong way but I think some how he gets it to work! Otherwise he likes to chew on the handles or the bottom of the cup. Silly boy! But oh how I love him.

Cutie Patootie!

After Rowynn's bath yesterday, I couldn't help but to let him run crawl around in his birthday suit. I just love that bare bottom. I have to admit, Abigayl had a cuter tush than her brother! She had a bit of a bubble where Rowynn's tends to be slightly flatter.
Anyhoo, I just wanted to share my son's absolute ADORABLENESS with the rest of the world. I believe at some point he will be a little irked at me but for now, I will love every minute of it!
I don't know what it is about my shoes, I can only imagine that he likes the smell, but he loves to play with them. Sometimes he likes to chew on the strap. It's okay... calm down... I don't let him chew on the yucky sole!
I wish that dimples on the bottom were as cute on me as they are on him! And with that, have a WONDERFUL day!

I Feel The Earth Move.....

under my seat!!

While sitting at the computer blogging, facebooking and emailing, there was quite the rumble and shake going on! We live close to a quarry so my initial thought was an explosion or something. NOPE! It was an earthquake.

Thanks to facebook I figured out fast that it was felt ALL over the state.

According to a friend, it was a 4.5 magnitude, 6 miles east of Norman, OK. Norman is about a 3 hour drive from my house!!

Crazy!

This makes my fourth earthquake and they were all in different states! Oregon was my first and then came Washington, California and now Okiehoma.

WWW - week 9

Sadly I didn't lose but thankfully I didn't gain either! I thought for sure after my bad behavior at the fair I would have gained 10 pounds but I didn't. So, I am finally going to stop eating BADLY and start eating GOODLY! (side note: I'm surprised it didn't tell me goodly was spelled wrong. I didn't know it was a word!)

I have made the decision that every day for breakfast I will eat oatmeal (I already do anyway but thought I would share that bit of info with you) and eat a salad with chopped up lunch meat and low-fat string cheese for lunch. That way, most of my calorie consumption will be from the dinners I make.

Seeing that I have a hard time cooking completely healthy all the time. Add in the fear of my husband leaving me if all I make for dinner is grilled chicken with veggies every night. You get a woman that needs to make a steak with some mac n' cheese every now and then!

Oh yes, I almost forgot, for those of you who did not read last weeks post (shame on you!) that puts my weight and a whopping 162. My goal is to make it to at least 150 before I get pregnant again (now to February) but would LOVE to get to 140-145 if I can.

Thank you all for your support. You have not idea how much I love you all.

Super Sunday

Sunday was jam packed with lots of activities that helped to wear out the littlest stamper. While Rusty went to play his weekly flag football game, I headed to the fair (again!) with my friend and her family.

You can just call me tag-along. It is what I do best. Especially with her family! I think I have hung out with them, solo, many times. Thankfully they still take me places with them.
At the fair we finally got to get into the petting zoo area. Rowynn loves to laugh at all the animals. I'm pretty excited that he seems to be on the animal loving path just like his mama.

After much browsing and the consumption of, yet another, caramel apple (plus the mini fudge newburg) all within the span of 4 hours, it was time to head home.

Thankfully I got home just in time to start getting ready for a wedding. Plus, Rowynn had to look spiffy for such a fun occasion. I must admit, I was a little nervous having him at a wedding. Especially after the LONG day at the fair.

I'm happy to report that he slept through most of the ceremony and there was no fussing going on.
After snapping a few photos, eating AMAZING food and watching the lovely couple dance. We had to head out. I was sad to miss the cake cutting and maybe a little boogie on the dance floor with my two handsome men.
Lovin' his "deer in headlights" look!
There we go, that's better! Except for the untied shoelace. What kind of mother lets her son run around with untied shoes? Gees.
We had a very FULL weekend but every minute of it was an absolute blast. I am one very lucky lady.

Big Boy

Most of the time this is what Rowynn looks like when I go in to get him from a nap. We also watch him crawl and roll around then sit up in his crib on the monitor. It is quite funny to watch! I think sometimes Rowynn is more fun to watch than the TV.
Not only is Rowynn sitting up like a champ now a days but he is also starting to figure out pulling up!! It is crazy. He will get his hands up on something higher and then pull his knees over closer so he can do a little bent over "standing". He still isn't super stable so I figure we have A LOT of bumps and bruises heading his way but he sure is growing up fast.
