Such a big girl!

Abigayl's grandma Linda gave this to us at the baby shower. Now, she is big enough to sit in it! It's crazy how fast time flies. She doesn't play with the toys by herself but I think she enjoys getting to sit up with out being held.

Time to play catch up!!

Well, it has been very busy the last week or two. I was blessed to have my entire family in Oklahoma with me for 5 whole days!!! Before coming to my house they went up to Kansas to visit Grandma and Grandpa. So, I drove up the two days that they weren't at my house!! It was a fantastic time and I hope it happens again soon... it was really sad going back to a quiet house.

As for Abigayl, she hit two pretty good milestones this past week. She rolled from front to back and she giggled. I'm excited that my mom got to witness both!

We went to Grand Lake for the day. We were able to play on the boat and jet skies. Darrin, Rachelle and I went for a pretty good run on the inflatable hot dog. It was loads of fun until I flew off and was forced to do the splits!! Good times any ways. It was great to be in the water even though it was like bath water. I guess that's what you get when it's over 100 for almost a week!!!
I baked Darrin a pumpkin pie for his birthday in Oklahoma.
After dark, Darrin, Rachelle, two of their kids, Rusty and I all went to the big park that is by my house. I was so happy because I have wanted an excuse for the past two years to go play on that thing!!

Rusty and I had to take advantage of the beautiful night we had. It had to be in the 70's with a nice breeze. So, we sat out on our front porch and just looked out at the night... I'm sure Abigayl enjoyed getting out of the house a little too!
My sweet girl!! We finally had to go in because the bugs were out in full force. It was nice to get to be outside with out feeling like I was melting though.

2 month appointment

Today was Abigayl's 2 month check-up. That means she had to have the dreaded shots :( I couldn't help buy hold back some tears when she started crying from the needle pricks. ouchy. She recovered really well and was happy as a clam once I started talking to her and held her.
It never seems very comfy when they take the head circumference measurement.
She is my little chunk! She weighs 13 1/4 - 13 1/2 now... she started at 7 lb 3 oz!!! She is now 23 in.... that is 3 1/4 in longer.... I think she is getting too big!!

Sunday Best

This is an outfit that her aunt Marcy got her. I have been waiting for her to fit in it! The company, Mud Pie, make some of the cutest baby clothes that I have ever seen! So, now she fits in it and I thought it was the perfect church outfit. Marcy bought the matching shoes but they were 0-6 month and they were WAY to big.



After church, we went to Chili's for lunch. Abigayl did great... she let me eat my lunch before she wanted out of her car seat. Even though she had missed a nap time and was close to her feeding time, we decided to check out Children's Orchard. I'm glad we did... we picked up a bunch of new clothes at prices that could not be beat! I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful daughter... she puts up with a lot of shopping trips!!

Basically I'm just a really proud mom, who loves to take millions of photos!! These are some really cute ones I took yesterday. I tried to get some really good smiling pics but I'm not very quick!

My big girl!

My little girl is getting so big! Now 7 weeks, she is holding her head up like a champ and she has turned into a big chunk! She has lots of rolls now, which I totally love!!

She smiles quite a bit and has been making gurgle sounds. I think she is trying to talk to me!!! She loves looking at pictures in my magazines and I read to her from some of her story books. For some reason though, she prefers the pictures in my magazines rather than her books!

Also, the last couple of days she has been pretty fussy. I'm not sure if it is tummy pains or if she may be teething. I felt around on her gums and I think I feel some rough patches. I know it seems like it would be too soon but, I started teething at 2 months. I guess only time will tell what is going on.

4th of July Weekend... fun times

Abigayl is now social smiling!! I am so excited. When we talk to her and play with her she smiles at us. In this picture, she was on her play mat looking in the mirror while I was talking to her. Over the weekend she was dishing out smiles to lots of people. What I love most though, when I get her up from naps she smiles at me. It feels really good to have her recognize me!

I think her great-uncle Ken might like her!! She seemed to be the center of attention where ever we went. Everyone waited their turn to get to hold her!!

Abi's first dip in the lake... just her feet of course! Rusty said that as soon as her foot hit the water she started shaking it. I think she might have thought it was cold!!

It was really nice to see Rusty's brother, Wayne, and his family make it to the lake this year. We are hoping that they will make it a tradition to come every year now!
Abi sat and enjoyed the warm breeze by the lake. I think she really liked it. It was a lot for her to take in because she hasn't really been outside much. The weather here is just too hot.
She really likes her great-aunt Dana. Dana sang and talked to her for a while. Abi just smiled and even gave a little giggle!
Abi really likes it when her Aunt Marcy sings to her. She also went into a trance looking at her uncle Wayne's TU hat. She must like yellow, red and blue!
Abi was a great sport while we were at the lake. She only went off her schedule the first day. After that, it was back to sleeping well and eating great! I'm sure she will love it next year when she can spend a little more time down at the water playing. This weekend though, she was the belle of the ball. She definitely got lots of love and kisses. She also got to meet a lot more of her family.
