Solids!!!

We have finally hit the solids stage! I am so excited to get to experience this again. Though, I have to admit that I have cheated on a few occasions with Rowynn. He got to taste icing, whipped cream, PB cup blizzard and chocolate ice cream.... all before having rice cereal!

I guess Rusty and I were a little more lenient this time around because we didn't want to miss out on him getting to try things. Plus, we didn't want him to miss out either. You never know... that is one lesson I have learned.

Anyhoo, Sunday night we gave Rowynn rice cereal and then switched it up with some peas. I'm not sure he was as eager to try it out as we were to give it to him! He still has a thrust reflex with his tongue so not much made it down the hatch. It was fun to try though.

My mini-Rusty

We bought Rowynn his first pair of sunglasses. I still want to get a pair of of Baby Bandz but these are working great for now. Plus, they are super cute!

He is starting to master the rolling over thing. Only problem, he keeps himself awake at night trying to roll over!

I was going to put up a video but after hours of trying to get it to load, I give up. I'll try another day.

Check-up and Water Park

Rowynn went to his 4 month check-up yesterday. He weighed in at 16lb 14.5oz, which put him at 90%, and he measured 27 1/8in, which put him at 100%!!! I have a big boy on my hands and I LOVE it.

After his appointment, we went to the water park with my friend and her two boys. It was so much fun. Rowynn didn't get wet (except from our bathing suits) because when I dipped his toes in the water he made the "I'm going to scream" face.

He did wear his baby speedo though......

Lovin' the leg rolls!

I'll have to see if I can get the picture my friend took on her camera. She got a picture of her two boys with Rowynn. It was pretty cute. They both are so good with Rowynn and treat him like a little brother.

Buried Alive

I have to say that I keep a fairly clean house. My one weak area... laundry. I have no problems putting the clothes in the washer and dryer, it is the folding that becomes a problem.

As you can see, I had 4-6 loads of laundry that had piled up waiting to be folded and hung.

Well, I conquered that pile and I am currently laundry free. I'm sure that will last a whole day or two!

Time for Change

Well, for the third time in the past couple of years, I have decided to grow my hair out. I thought maybe if I put it on here I'll actually stick to it, like I have my working out.

I have had my short, spiky style for 8 years!!!! I think it is high time my hubby gets to see me with long, pretty, sexy (hopefully) hair. I just really need a change. It doesn't help that my face is swollen to a not so pretty state right now. Therefore, short hair will probably only emphasize the bigness of my face.

Bare with me people, there may not be a whole lot of pictures of me for the next few months. I'm not sure I really want to share the yucky stage of my hair growth. Especially combined with the yuckyness of my swollen face.

I must say, these steroids have brought my self-esteem to a new low. Like my mom said, maybe now I will appreciate the size I was when I get back down to it. I sure hope so. I think anything would be better than what I am right now. I'm lucky that I have such a loving and understanding husband. He constantly tells me how pretty he thinks I am and lets me know that I'll be off the steroids soon. He never makes me feel guilty for the weight gain and puffiness.
